The Dental Quest
What is The Dental Quest?
The Dental Quest aims to bridge the knowledge gap on dental health through an adventure puzzle game. Currently, The Dental Quest is still in its early stages of development so a simplified branding guide was created to act as the brand’s foundation.
What's wrong with the dentist?
In Australia, dental is not covered under medicare. In the eyes of the government, dental is seen as ‘non vital’ and therefore requires further payment for ‘extras’ when registering for private health insurance. This means prices are more transparent, therefore more ‘expensive’ in this way. Though cosmetic dental makes up a portion of the industry, this doesn’t mean that dental health should be seen as ‘extras’.

What is Dentalphobia?
Dentalphobia: the fear of dentists and/or dental-related sensations. This phobia can be the result of a multitude of factors including trauma and anxiety. This fear often leads to avoidance, missed appointments and neglect of dental health. With poor dental health comes increased sensitivity, pain and more intensive treatments. This cycle of physical and mental discomfort isn’t sustainable.

Dental Education
Dental education in the general public is often overshadowed by typical ‘hospital-related' education. If education and good habits aren’t emphasised, there could be an increased development of dental anxiety and dentalphobia.
