The Purpose
Today, patients are required to update their medical history on a regular basis, especially when attending a new clinic. This mental strain requires remembering all these details, risking unintentional discrepancies and medication clashes. These can prove to be mildly inconvenient at best and life-threatening at worst.
The Child & Youth Mental Health Services clinic located on the Gold Coast in Brisbane, Australia aims to lessen the discomfort that comes with a medical space. For the best quality in life, mental wellbeing should be valued just much
as physical wellbeing. It’s a cyclical process where thought affects behaviour, behaviour affects action, and action
evokes thought.
The Solution
Medly is a mobile app that is designed to assist with organisation and streamline communication between the patient and clinical professionals. Medical information including allergies, medications, x-rays, referrals and appointment notes are collated into a single, accessible, digital format.

The Process
The idea of Medly was created when discussing the medical experience with a few friends. Core aspects of the app were created by pinpointing common issues with disorganised and overwhelming information. The iterative process consisted of testing several arrangements to create the most intuitive layout and functions.
